Do both batteries on a Ram 2500 diesel need replacing?
In most cases yes, because the two batteries on a Heavy Duty diesel Ram are wired together and share the starting load. Our technician tests each battery separately first and shows you the results.
Is the eTorque 48V battery changed with the 12V battery?
No, the 48V eTorque battery is a separate hybrid part that dealer workshops look after. A Ram that will not start almost always has a worn 12V battery under the bonnet, which we replace on site.
