Wheel Alignment & Balancing: what you get
A wheel alignment resets the toe, camber and caster angles so the car tracks straight, while balancing corrects heavy spots in each wheel that cause vibration at speed. How often should I get a wheel alignment in the UAE?
Have it checked once a year or every 10,000 to 15,000 km, and straight away after hitting a kerb or a deep pothole, or after fitting new tyres. Fresh tyres on a misaligned car can wear unevenly within a few months.
What is the difference between alignment and balancing?
Alignment adjusts the angles of the wheels relative to the car and to each other, which cures pulling and edge wear. Balancing adds small weights so each wheel spins without wobbling, which cures vibration at highway speed. They fix different problems, so both are checked in the same visit.
Why does my car still pull after an alignment?
A pull can also come from a dragging brake caliper, a tyre with an internal belt defect, or worn suspension bushes. If the readings are correct and the pull remains, the technician swaps the front tyres side to side to isolate the cause and reports what was found. Worn suspension parts are handled under our suspension and alignment service.
