Will servicing outside the dealer affect my warranty?
Warranty terms differ by brand, so check your warranty booklet first. Many only require that servicing follows the manufacturer schedule with parts and fluids of the specified standard, backed by dated invoices. If your car is on a prepaid dealer service contract, tell us and we will flag anything that could clash with it.
What is the difference between a minor and a major service?
A minor service covers oil, the oil filter and a safety inspection. A major service adds items due at longer intervals, such as spark plugs, air and cabin filters, brake fluid and sometimes coolant or transmission fluid. Which one is due depends on your mileage and the schedule for your particular model.
How often should a car be serviced in Dubai?
Many petrol cars call for a service every 10,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first, though some modern engines on long-life oil run longer. Cars that mostly do short trips or sit idling with the AC on benefit from the shorter end. The technician reads your service indicator and manual to set the right interval.
