Battery replacement

Question not here? Send a message and a technician answers, not a bot.

How fast can you replace a car battery in Dubai?

Most technicians reach customers in Dubai within 20–35 minutes, at any hour. The swap itself takes about 15 minutes on most cars, and 30–40 minutes on German cars that need the new battery registered.

How much does car battery replacement cost in Dubai?

It depends on the battery size, the technology your car needs (flooded, EFB or AGM), the brand you pick and whether registration is required. Send your car model and year on WhatsApp and we reply with exact options; delivery and fitting are free.

Which warranty do your batteries come with?

Batteries we fit carry up to 24 months warranty, depending on the brand and range. The warranty is written on your receipt and claims are handled by us at your location, not by sending you to a distributor.

Can you replace the battery in a basement car park?

Yes, most of our jobs in Dubai Marina, JLT, Downtown and Business Bay are in basements. Send the building name, parking level and bay number, and register us as a visitor if the building asks for it.

Do you cover Abu Dhabi and Sharjah?

Yes. Separate teams cover Abu Dhabi city, Khalifa City, Yas, Reem and Mussafah, and Sharjah from Al Nahda and Al Taawun through to Muwaileh and Aljada. Arrival there is usually 25–40 minutes.

Can I pay by card or in instalments?

You can pay by card, cash or bank transfer, or split the amount into four interest-free payments with Tabby or Tamara.

How do I know I need a new battery and not just a jump?

If the battery is over two years old, has needed more than one jump recently, or tests below roughly 60% state of health, replacing it is the safer choice in UAE heat. Our technician shows you the test result before suggesting anything.

What happens to my old battery?

We take it with us and pass it to a licensed lead-acid recycler. Old batteries hold lead and acid, so they should never go in normal waste.

FAQ

Jump start & boosting

Question not here? Send a message and a technician answers, not a bot.

Can a jump start damage my car's electronics?

A badly done jump can, mostly through reversed cables or voltage spikes when cables are pulled off a running donor car. We use a regulated booster with reverse-polarity protection and connect to the manufacturer's jump points on cars that have them, which avoids both problems.

How long should I drive after a jump start?

Plan on at least 30–40 minutes of steady driving, ideally on a highway rather than in stop-start traffic. Short trips with the AC on full barely put charge back in. If the car needs another jump within a few days, the battery is usually finished.

Do you jump start hybrids and cars with batteries in the boot?

Yes. Many BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Range Rover models have the battery in the boot or under the floor with dedicated jump posts under the bonnet. Hybrids like the Camry, Prius or RAV4 hybrid have a small 12V auxiliary battery that we boost through the correct terminal in the fuse box.

FAQ

Battery & alternator testing

Question not here? Send a message and a technician answers, not a bot.

Is a voltage reading enough to judge a battery?

No. A battery can show 12.6V at rest and still collapse under the load of the starter, especially in heat. A conductance or load test measures how much current it can actually deliver, which is what decides whether the car starts.

How often should I test my battery in the UAE?

Once a year until it is two years old, then every few months and always before the summer peak and before a long trip away. Heat does most of its damage quietly, so the test usually catches a weak battery before it leaves you stranded.

What is a parasitic drain?

It is current the car keeps drawing after you lock it, from things like a dashcam wired to the battery, a faulty module that does not go to sleep, or an aftermarket alarm. A small drain is normal; a large one flattens a healthy battery within days.

FAQ

AGM & start-stop batteries

Question not here? Send a message and a technician answers, not a bot.

Can I put a normal battery in a start-stop car?

It will start the car, but it will not survive long. Start-stop cycles the battery dozens of times on a single drive through Dubai traffic, and a flooded battery loses capacity quickly under that use. The car may also disable start-stop because it reads the battery as weak.

Is AGM better than EFB?

AGM handles deeper cycling and higher loads, so it is fitted to cars with regenerative braking and heavy electrical demand. EFB is a tougher flooded battery for simpler start-stop systems. You can upgrade EFB to AGM, but never downgrade an AGM car to EFB or flooded.

Do AGM batteries last longer in the heat?

They lose less water and resist vibration better, which helps in UAE summers, but heat still shortens their life. Many AGM batteries sit in the boot, away from engine heat, which is part of why they often outlast under-bonnet batteries here.

FAQ

German car batteries

Question not here? Send a message and a technician answers, not a bot.

What happens if a BMW battery is not registered?

The car keeps applying the charging profile meant for an old, worn battery, which usually means overcharging the new one. Over months that shortens its life, and you may see start-stop stay disabled or electrical warnings appear.

Can I fit a bigger battery in my Mercedes?

Only if it physically fits the tray and the car is coded for the new capacity. A larger Ah figure without coding confuses the battery management, so we normally match the factory capacity unless there is a clear reason to change it.

Do you use original batteries for German cars?

We fit AGM and EFB batteries from manufacturers that supply German carmakers in the first place, such as Varta, Bosch and Banner, in the same size and specification as the original. Dealer-branded batteries are usually made by one of these.
