The LX 570 and LX 600 carry adaptive suspension, multiple screens and four-zone climate control, so they need a high-capacity battery in the correct size; downsizing leads to early failure.

ES 300h, RX 450h, NX and UX hybrids use a 12V auxiliary battery, usually AGM, whose position varies by generation between the boot, under the rear seat and under the bonnet.

Reading a Japanese (JIS) battery code
Most Japanese cars use JIS-sized batteries with codes like 55D23L or 80D26R. The code tells you everything the technician needs.
- The first number is a performance rank, not the Ah. Higher means more starting power.
- The letter (B, D, E…) is the width and height class of the case.
- The next two digits are the length in centimetres.
- L or R tells you which side the positive terminal sits on. Getting it wrong means the cables will not reach.
A weakening battery on a Lexus often announces itself as a cluster of unrelated warnings, such as VSC, pre-collision or check-engine lights, before the car ever struggles to crank.

Does a Lexus hybrid need a special 12V battery?
Most Lexus hybrids use an AGM 12V auxiliary battery, especially where it sits inside the cabin or boot and must not vent gas. The replacement should be AGM in the same size and terminal layout; a standard flooded battery is not suitable for those positions.
Which battery brand suits a Lexus LX in UAE heat?
