Solite CMF
Japanese and Korean cars without start-stop
A Korean sealed battery that covers almost every JIS size on UAE roads
Solite is a Korean car battery brand from Hyundai Sungwoo Solite, and it is one of the best-value sealed batteries sold in the UAE. It suits Hyundai, Kia, Toyota and Nissan owners who want a dependable everyday battery without paying for a European badge. The range includes EFB and AGM options as well as the standard CMF flooded line.

Solite CMF batteries handle the heat of a typical Dubai commute without trouble, and the sealed case keeps electrolyte loss low when engine-bay temperatures spike. Where they struggle is the same place any flooded battery struggles: cars that sit unused in an open-air car park for a month in summer. For those, a trickle charger or a quick check before you travel saves a call-out.
Solite comes from a Seoul-based automotive parts company that has made batteries in Korea since the late 1970s, previously under the Hyundai Enercell name. The brand exports to more than a hundred countries, and in the Gulf it has become a workshop staple because nearly every common JIS size is available and the cases match Japanese and Korean battery trays exactly. Solite sticks to a sealed calcium design, so there are no caps to open and no water to top up. For a driver whose Accent, Sunny or Corolla needs a car battery change at the office car park, it is often the most sensible pick: a known Korean factory, fresh stock and a fair cost.
No tow truck, no workshop queue. This is how every visit runs, whether it is 3pm or 3am.

Solite batteries are made in South Korea by Hyundai Sungwoo Solite. The case and label show the Korean origin. If a battery sold as Solite carries no origin at all, ask questions before buying.
For most Japanese and Korean cars, Solite is a good, honest choice. It lasts about as long as other sealed flooded batteries in local heat, and it costs less than European brands. For German start-stop cars we usually recommend an OE-matched AGM instead.
CMF stands for calcium maintenance free. The plates use a calcium alloy that loses far less water than older antimony designs, which is why the case can stay sealed. It is still a flooded battery, not AGM.
Almost certainly, as Solite offers the JIS and DIN sizes Hyundai and Kia use in the region. Newer models with idle stop need the EFB or AGM version rather than CMF. Share your plate or VIN on WhatsApp and we will confirm the size.
The nearest technician is usually 20–35 minutes away, day or night, across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
